Zakynthos Sightseeing for Memorable Holidays
Once you have set your foot on the island of Zakynthos, you will definitely feel the hospitable locals and the natural beauty overwhelming you. Throughout your stay, you will get the chance to explore the island, which is otherwise known as Zante. Below, there are few of the sights and attractions that you will be most tempted to visit. However, this list could never include all the attractions of a beautiful island such as Zakynthos!

First of all, Navagio beach (or else known as the Shipwreck beach) is a sight for sore eyes. This is a beach of fierce natural beauty, where one of the most severe shipwrecks in modern history had taken place. If you are a fan of diving, you can reach the area and admire the wealth of the seabed. Apart from Navagio, there are many other beaches that will attract your attention. Beaches like Gerakas and Agios Nikolaos, Porto Zoro and Laganas, Banana and Porto Vromi are definitely breathtaking and you should visit at least some of them.

Apart from the Blue Caves that are worth visiting during sunrise or sunset, there is also Marathonisi where Caretta Caretta turtles lay their eggs to hatch. This is a splendid place of natural beauty and protected wildlife. Of course, there are picturesque churches throughout the island, including those of Agios Dionysios and Agia Mavra, the Monasteries of Anafonitria and Skopiotissa. All these are places where you will find serenity and tranquility, along with traditional architecture and special décor.

Solomos Museum is another attraction not to be missed, as well as the Naval Museum and the Post Byzantine Art Museum and Vrysakia Aqueduct. As you can see, there are many things to do and many places to visit when traveling to Zakynthos. What is stopping you?
