row 1
Azure waters, fine sand and sleek pebbles, crowned by the lush Ionian greenery in an outstanding amalgam of fantastic images. Yeah, you got it right, this heavenly landscape lies at the Ionian gem, namely the magnificent Zante.

The beach of Navagio or Shipwreck cove is arguably the most photographed and the most recognizable beach on the Zante island. Once named Agios Georgios, the stunning beach owes its name to the shipwreck of a boat that transported illegal cigarettes. Huge white-hued cliffs surround the beach; the waters are pristine, perfect for swimming and snorkeling. As for the shipwreck, it seems like emerging from the white sand. Don’t miss out on such a spectacle!

Gerakas is a beach straight out of a heavenly canvas. Rocky formations are scattered on the seashore, fine sand is whetted by the crystal clear waters while the unique backdrop is the ideal scenery to unwind. Situated eighteen kilometers away from the island's capital, the beach is home to the endangered sea turtle Caretta-Caretta. Before getting down to the beach, you can leave your car in a free parking area.

A haven for the water-sport enthusiasts Kalamaki beach is also the ultimate destination for families. There are some convenient amenities and facilities but the beach is pleasantly undeveloped. Lush flora, amazing waters and a scenery to die for caress the senses in a whimsical ambiance. The area is part of the National Marine Park and a continuation of the sister beach, namely Laganas beach.

Stay tuned for our next suggestions, as Zante’s charm is infinite!
